U.S. Sens. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) and Steve Daines (R-Mont.) endorsed U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) for Senate in 2026.
A Senate seat is vacant in Alabama due to U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) running for governor.
“Barry Moore is a MAGA conservative we can count on,” Budd said. “The ongoing Schumer Shutdown is just another example of why we need rock-solid, reliable Republicans to stand up to the Radical Left. Barry Moore has a spine of steel and has always stood firm on our conservative values. I look forward to having him in the Senate to fight with me for President Trump’s agenda.”
Budd was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2022, after having served in the House since 2016. During his three terms in the House, he was a member of the House Freedom Caucus, serving alongside Barry Moore from 2021 to 2022. He grew up on a cattle and commercial chicken farm in Davie County, North Carolina, where he still lives.
“Senator Budd is a great friend and a strong conservative,” Moore said. “I’m proud to have his support. He has stood with President Trump every step of the way, just like I have. He’s an example of a House Freedom Caucus member who’s become a leader in the Senate. Together, we will work to keep our border secure, deport illegal immigrants, stop the indoctrination of our children, and bring the American Golden Age.”
Daines, former chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, also endorsed Moore.
“Barry Moore is a conservative who gets things done. He’s the kind of steady leader we need in the Senate,” Daines said. “I’m proud to endorse him and look forward to working together to advance President Trump’s agenda. President Trump is building the American Golden Age, and Barry will be a fitting successor to my friend Senator Tuberville. He’ll stand with us to shrink government, lower taxes, and grow the economy for working families.”
Daines chaired the NRSC from 2023–2024, winning four Senate seats and flipping the upper chamber for the GOP—the largest Republican Senate gain in a presidential election year since 1980.
“I’m honored to have Senator Daines’s support,” Moore said. “As NRSC Chairman, he led our party to take back the Senate. As a Senator, he’s been a tireless advocate for freedom and economic prosperity. If elected, I will join him in that fight.”
