The Birmingham Police Department has announced an arrest in a July 13, 2024, triple homicide.
Jacorrian McGregor, 25, of Birmingham, is charged with capital murder in the deaths of Landyn Brooks, Arkia Berry and Eric Ashley, Jr.

The three were shot and killed while in a car in the 1700 block of Indian Summer Drive. Berry was the mother of five-year-old Brooks, and it is believed Ashley was the mother's boyfriend.
The BPD's Crime Reduction Unit partnered with the U.S. Marshal Service's Fugitive Task Force to make the arrest. McGregor was taken into custody on Tuesday. He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
The State of Alabama Pardons and Parole assisted.
McGregor is considered innocent until proven guilty. He faces the death penalty if convicted.
