The mother of a University of Alabama student is pleading with the public to help find her son.
James Paul Gracey, 20, is on a Spring Break trip to Barcelona, Spain. Therese Gracey said he has not been seen since he went to the Shoko bar with friends. He was last seen around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants. He wears a gold chain with a rhinestone cross, his mother said. She posted a photo of her son from the last night he was seen.
Gracey was staying in an Airbnb at Ronda de Sant Pere. His friend returned to the rental but said Gracey decided to stay at the club.
According to reports, police have obtained Gracey’s cell phone.
The 20-year-old is the chaplain of the Alpha Phi Chapter of the Theta Chi fraternity. He is from Elmhurst, Ill.
