1819 News founder and CEO Bryan Dawson is taking his "Pick up the Mic" to the University of North Alabama (UNA) this week.
On Wednesday, UNA and Turning Point USA will host Dawson for an open discussion on "Bibles, Babies, and the Battle for Alabama." The event will take place at Gunn Commons, room 330, on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

"It is an absolute honor to be able to continue on in Charlie's footsteps, speaking to students and bringing the Word of God to bear on political and cultural issues," Dawson stated. "The real fight for the future of our state and nation is the fight for the hearts, minds, and souls of the next generation, and this is an incredible opportunity to be able to participate in that fight. My prayer is that God would be honored, hearts would be changed, and that I honor Charlie's legacy."
Dawson will also be speaking at Covenant Christian School in Tuscumbia the next day, Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. as part of TPUSA's Club America.
He recently held a "Pick up the Mic" at the University of Montevallo with over 150 students gathering to listen.
