UPS is laying off 128 employees in Montgomery, the company announced this week.

According to an Alabama WARN List notice, the layoffs will begin on February 23.

The layoffs appear to be part of UPS's nationwide downsizing.

The Associated Press reported in October that UPS had cut 34,000 operational positions and closed daily operations at 93 leased and owned buildings nationwide. The company has also announced 14,000 job cuts in management in 2025.
