The Gulf Shores Police Department is asking for information to find the owners of an urn that washed ashore on April 17.
The urn, which was filled with ashes, was found on West Beach.
"Whether by divine intervention, the Gulf current, or perhaps the departed’s desire to stay close, the urn made its way back to shore," police stated.
The urn does not have a name on it, so police are asking anyone with information about the departed's family to contact them at 251-968-2431.
"We hope to return the deceased to their family and assist in carrying out their final wishes," they said.
Police provided a photo of the urn.
