After an act of vandalism, a Trump banner covers plywood at the Baldwin County Republican Party's Daphne headquarters.

Chairman Kathy Morelock said someone threw an object through the storefront window overnight or on the morning of October 13.

Property management at Jubilee Point Shopping Center responded and helped clean the glass and board up the window. Morelock suspects the window was broken with a rock.

"It's a very nice shopping center, and we don't really know too much about what happened," Morelock told 1819 News. "It happened, and no one saw it. It didn't get recorded on our camera."

Morelock said there is no way to know who vandalized the store. While it could've been kids playing a prank, she believes it was more likely a targeted crime.

"It's certainly likely that we were targeted because we are a political organization," she said. "Mainly because we've had a couple of other sort of minor incidents that happened there that might lead us to believe that it could have been motivated politically."

Some of those other incidents include moved signs and verbal harassment of volunteers.

Meanwhile, the Baldwin County GOP will continue to educate voters and offer Trump merchandise at Daphne and Foley locations.

"We do this every presidential election cycle and they've just been really successful," Morelock added. "We've had a huge amount of traffic in both locations."

The banner covering the plywood was handmade and donated to the Baldwin County Republican Party.
