The Trussville Police Department responded to a deadly shooting in the parking lot of Velma’s bar early Saturday.
The Trussville Tribune reported the shooting occurred at 1:05 a.m.
A man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim died despite first responders immediately rendering aid.
A man was taken into custody but has not been identified.
Velma’s was a mainstay in Trussville until it closed in 2012. After a decade, it reopened in 2022.
