The service members who fought for our freedoms during their service should not have to fight against their government to get the benefits they earned.
Too often, veterans either do not know the benefits they have earned and could receive or do not know the steps to begin receiving those benefits.
U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) has put together an event that can assist veterans and their families in navigating the complex road to needed and deserved benefits. He is hosting the “Veterans Benefits Fair” this Friday. It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Daphne City Council Chambers.
The subjects that will be covered include travel pay, in-home care, aid and attendance monthly checks, prosthetics, dental, physical therapy, hearing aids and VA disability compensation.

On hand to assist veterans will be Veteran Service Officers, representatives from the VA and Moore's staff.
The fair is free and open to the public.
One reason that Moore and staff are on top of serving Alabama veterans is that Moore is a veteran himself. He served in the Alabama National Guard.
