A man killed Thursday night in a two-vessel crash on Lake Wedowee was identified by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Dale M. Webb, 74, of Carrollton, Ga., was killed around 8 p.m.
ALEA's Marine Patrol Division determined Webb was operating a 1995 Stratos bass boat when he collided with a 2024 Veranda tri-toon boat operated by Micah Cornett, 51, of Wedowee.
Webb's passenger, Berlin Owens, 73, of Woodland, was injured and airlifted to Wellstar Kennesaw Medical Center for treatment.
Cornett was not injured.
The crash occurred near Highway 48, where Little River meets Big River in Randolph County.
