The Pell City Fire Department responded Sunday afternoon to a boat that was struck by lightning.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Logan Martin Lake.
Several people were on board the vessel in the area of Pirate Island when it was struck by lightning, causing a fire.
94.1 FM The River posted video of the fire on Facebook.
First responders were able to get to the occupants and assess and treat the injured. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The condition of the person is unknown.
Pell City police, Alabama State Troopers and the St. Clair County Central Dispatch assisted.
