An altercation between opposing coaches led to an all-out brawl on the court Tuesday night following the matchup between Albertville and Guntersville High Schools.
Videos of the incident went viral online, showing two coaches confronting each other on the court as the teams shook hands. While some adults tried to intervene, a crowd formed around the coaches and a fight broke out among several players, some of which were injured, according to comments made on posts online.

On Wednesday morning, the two school systems issued a joint statement, The Sand Mountain Reporter reported:
“After last night’s Albertville-Guntersville basketball game, an altercation occurred involving players and adults. Both schools are working together to address the situation and remain committed to sportsmanship, teamwork and mutual respect.”
According to The Reporter, the Guntersville Wildcats won a close victory over the Albertville Aggies, 60-50.
