Former Auburn gymnast and gold medalist Suni Lee is in Paris, representing the U.S. women's gymnastics team.
On Tuesday, Lee brought home a gold medal — her first of the 2024 Paris Olympics — when she helped lead Team USA with Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera in the women's team final.
While awaiting a score after her balance beam performance, Lee, the most decorated gymnast in Auburn history, got a "War Eagle" from a fan in the stands.
Lee acknowledged the Auburn battle cry and gave the fan a fist pump and smiled.
The gymnast, who hails from Minnesota, had her Auburn career cut short due to a "non-gymnastics related health issue," but she put Auburn gymnastics on the map, winning a gold medal in 2020 before attending Auburn.
The 21-year-old Lee now holds two Olympic gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.
