U.S. Sens. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) and Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) got involved in a heated argument on the Senate floor on Thursday.
The exchange was caught by C-SPAN cameras and showed Britt and Murphy arguing back and forth for 12 minutes. Britt and Murphy are both members of the powerful Senate Committee on Appropriations.
Former U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said commended Britt's tenacity.
"Every woman I know from Alabama has this gear," he wrote on X. "Good for [Katie Britt]."
A spokesman for Britt didn’t return a request for comment.
