Things got heated late in the second round of the Sun Belt Tournament matchup between the University of South Alabama and Coastal Carolina, leaving an official knocked out and eight players ejected.

With just under six minutes left in the game, Chanticleers senior Tracey Hueston engaged in a scuffle with Jaguars senior Cordasia Harris. Coaches and players from both benches came out to stop the fight, and one referee got caught in the middle, getting knocked to the floor.

The referees assessed double technicals to Harris and Hueston, ejecting them from the game. Officials also ejected six additional South Alabama players for leaving the bench and making contact with Coastal Carolina players. In addition to Harris and Hueston, Daniela Gonzalez, Amyah Sutton, Terren Coffil, Saneea Bevley, Princess Okafor Nweze, and Jeriyah Baines, all from South Alabama, were kicked from the game.

Despite so many ejections, South Alabama held on to win the game 80-70.

The Jaguars advanced to the third round and will play on Thursday.
