The large and spread-out City of Mobile is coordinating five warming centers through the Waterfront Rescue Mission.
From now through the weekend, they are helping to coordinate shelters for those in need.
If you or someone you know needs a warming shelter during the cold, please call (251) 433-1847 or (251) 442-6018 for more information. Buses from the City transit company, the WAVE, will also be waiving fees on fixed routes for those who need transportation to local shelters.

"The cold weather isn’t going anywhere for the next few days, and we need your help!" Waterfront Rescue Mission wrote on Facebook. "Please spread the word about our cold weather policy to ensure everyone in need can find warmth, safety, and shelter off the streets."
