Increased illegal alien crime from President Joe Biden's open border policies is spreading to other states, according to Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry.

Gentry spoke at a National Police Week panel in Washington, D.C. hosted by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) on Wednesday.

Gentry said he visited the border in May 2023, and Biden and the liberal media were lying about what was going on.

"We have a president who does not care about our country. It takes law enforcement standing together with our citizens to be a voice," Gentry said during the panel discussion.

"What I'm talking about is open borders and it's what the sheriffs and police chiefs are facing. It's not limited to kids. We're seeing millions of men 18-25 that are crossing the borders everyday. We're talking about millions," Gentry said. "Most of them have very violent backgrounds. What they're seeing is Haitian, Somalian, and Chinese nationals committing violent crimes in the state of Texas and other states. And, guess what? That is moving to our states."

Other Alabamaians on the panel were U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery); Katherine Robertson, chief counsel for Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall; and Hoover Chief of Police Nick Dervis.
