The Wedowee Police Department hosted anti-human trafficking training by Covenant Rescue Group (CRG) that led to five arrests on Friday.
Jody Michael Crenshaw, 55, Rocael Marroquin, 21, Chad Marion Dickerson, 37, Damyon Jamal Person, 22 and Joseph Cardale Eagland, 30, are all facing human trafficking charges and are being held in the Randolph County Jail.
According to jail records, Crenshaw, Dickerson, Eagland and Person are all charged with two counts of first-degree human trafficking, soliciting child by computer and traveling to meet a minor.
Marroquin is charged with four counts of first-degree human trafficking, two counts of electronic solicitation of a minor and two counts of traveling to meet a minor.
CRG is an anti-human trafficking nonprofit that trains and conducts operations to protect children and communities. Law enforcement from agencies within Randolph County participated in the training that culminated in a 17-hour sting operation.
