No. 18 Alabama baseball took all three games this weekend to complete the sweep of Missouri.
The Crimson Tide now stand at 35-10 overall and 12-9 in SEC play.
Here is a recap of the weekend series.
Game One:
Things looked rough for the Crimson Tide after going down 5-0 in the first inning, but Alabama clawed back, slowly erasing the lead and completing the comeback with a two-run home run from Coleman Mizell in the eighth inning to win 7-5.
Mizell finished the night 2-for-4 with his go-ahead home run in the eighth, responsible for both of his RBI. Garrett Staton also went 2-for-4, including a game-tying three-run home run in the sixth.
Alabama closer Carson Ozmer pitched the final two innings and allowed just one hit and striking out four to secure his fourth win of the season.
Game Two:
Alabama used a four-run fifth inning to clinch the weekend series with a 7-3 win on Friday. Friday’s win was a milestone for head coach Rob Vaughn, who earned his 250th win of his career.
The Crimson Tide offense was led by a 3-for-5 night at the plate from Richie Bonomolo, Jr. Kade Snell contributed two hits, including a two-run home run in the third to give Alabama an early 2-0 lead.
Riley Quick won his sixth game of the season, allowing just one run in his 5.2 innings pitched. Quick tied a career-high with seven strikeouts while giving up just three hits.
Game Three:
Alabama completed the sweep with a 12-1 win by way of the mercy rule in the seventh inning. An eight-run second inning put the game out of reach as the Crimson Tide tallied 12 runs and 15 hits in Saturday's shortened game.
Zane Adams was the only pitcher needed for the Crimson Tide on Saturday. Adams recorded his sixth win of the season, pitching all seven innings and allowing just one run on five hits. Adams struck out five batters during his seven innings pitched.
Will Hodo led the Crimson Tide offense by going 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI on the afternoon.
Alabama will travel to Vanderbilt for a weekend series starting on Friday at 6 p.m. The opening game can be streamed on SEC Network+.
