After dropping the first game of the series, No. 23 Alabama baseball swept both games on Sunday to win the series over No. 6 Georgia.

The series win was Alabama’s first series win against Georgia since 2015. The Crimson Tide move to 39-13 overall and 15-12 in SEC play on the season.

Here is a recap of the weekend series.

Game One:

Alabama gave up a season-high six home runs, dropping the series opener 19-3. The game ended in just seven innings because of the run-rule. Three of Georgia’s six home runs came in a seven-run seventh inning.

Tyler Fay suffered the loss for the Crimson Tide, giving up five runs on four hits in just four innings.

Kade Snell was the lone standout for the Alabama offense, driving in three runs on a double in the third inning.

Game Two:

The second game of the series started on Friday, but rain interrupted the game, pushing the finish of game two back to Sunday morning. Georgia took an early two-run lead in the top of the first, but Alabama answered with four runs in their half of the first and never looked back, defeating Georgia 9-3.

The Crimson Tide offense was led by the top two spots in the order. Bryce Fowler and Justin Lebron both finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI each. Richie Bonomolo, Jr. added a three-run home run in the eighth to put the game out of reach.

Braylon Myers came in relief of starter Riley Quick in the fifth inning and recorded his third win of the season. Myers allowed just one run on three hits in 2.2 innings of work. Carson Ozmer came into the game and pitched two shutout innings to secure the win and earn his program-record 15th save of the season.

Game Three:

Alabama continued the momentum into the series' third game and pulled out a 5-4 win to win the weekend series. The Crimson Tide jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first two innings. Georgia cut the lead in half with two runs of their own in the third. An RBI double from Justin Lebron extended the Alabama lead to 5-2. Georgia made a late push in the sixth inning, closing the lead to one on a two-run homer, but the comeback came up short.

Lebron finished the day 3-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI double. Kade Snell and Jason Torre both crushed home runs for the Crimson Tide.

Zane Adams got the start for the series finale and recorded his seventh win of the season. Adams tossed four innings, allowing two runs on five hits. Carson Ozmer came into the game to record the final two outs to collect his 16th save of the season and second of the day.

Alabama will travel to Florida for the final SEC matchup of the season on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The opening game of the series can be streamed on SEC Network+.
