Notre Dame fans complained on Sunday about not being included in the College Football Playoffs.
After a strong finish to the season for Notre Dame, coupled with Alabama getting trounced by Georgia in the SEC Championship game on Saturday, the Fighting Irish faithful were shocked to find out on Sunday that the selection committee picked Miami and Alabama over Notre Dame.
In response, Notre Dame opted out of consideration for a bowl game.

Charlie Camosy said on X, "People hate Notre Dame."
This is a classic take from today. Not based on evidence. ND had a stronger schedule than Miami. Ranked higher than both Bama and Miami by computers. Vegas odds had ND at 98 percent for making the playoff this morning.

Sure, Bama beat Georgia, but they also got obliterated by them last night, and OU fumbled their way in. The Committee is a joke.

Vitale said.
