After ramming Gate Two on Redstone Arsenal and attacking an officer in mid-December, a woman is now facing eight years in prison.
This week, Julia Brock Hartsell was indicted for assault on a federal officer and is currently being held in the Morgan County Jail.
According to law enforcement, on the evening of December 17, 2025, officers responded to the collision and found Hartsell's vehicle unoccupied. While police were searching the car, Hartsell appeared from behind and struck a cruiser, breaking its rear window.
Officers then observed Hartsell with a weapon and commanded her to place it on the ground. When she refused, an officer discharged their weapon in the direction of Hartsell without striking her. Hartsell then began wrestling with the officer for the firearm, with the two falling off what was referred to as an "embankment."
Other officers on the scene eventually helped to subdue and arrest Hartsell.
She is scheduled to return to court on January 22.
