The Mobile Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in west Mobile.
Officers were called to the scene in the 1000 block of Anders Drive at approximately 8:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim succumbed to her injury.
Mobile Police pubic affairs manager Blake Brown said the investigation remains active. He did not specify if any suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call the Mobile Police Department.
