The Bessemer Police Department is investigating after a 50-year-old woman was mauled to death by a pack of dogs.
Delores Mukerson Musgrove, of Adger, was in a vacant lot off Martin Street at Norwood Avenue when she was attacked.
Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates said the lot was overgrown.
The attack happened on Thursday at 6:54 a.m. Bessemer Police responded, and Musgrove was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:28 a.m.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
