The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified a woman killed after she was struck by a vehicle in Fairfield.
Michella Lynn Dickerson, 34, of Birmingham, was hit around 9:29 p.m. on 36th Street at Avenue E. She was taken to the hospital, where she died the next day.
Coroner Bill Yates said Dickerson was a pedestrian on the roadway.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.
