The Birmingham Police Department identified a Woodlawn High School student as the victim of a shooting on Monday, October 17.

Ty'Nez Lloyd Durden, 17, was shot and killed around 6:40 p.m. in the 7700 Block of Sunrise Lane. Durden was taken to Children's of Alabama where he was treated until he died on Thursday.

Police believe the teen was standing in a parking lot when a car drove by and someone fired shots from the car.

No suspects have been identified, and police did not provide a description of the vehicle.
