AUBURN — Head coach Bryan Harsin confirmed Monday that Auburn defensive lineman Zykeivous Walker has left the team following the Georgia game. Auburn Undercover first reported the news of Walker’s departure before Harsin confirmed it at his weekly press conference.
“That was after the Georgia game,” said Harsin. “Yeah, he's no longer with us.”
Walker was a four-star recruit from Georgia and a member of the 2020 class before spending three seasons in limited action on the Plains.
In 11 games with the Tigers, Walker tallied 20 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack and one pass deflection. Shortly after the announcement from Harsin, Walker posted on his Twitter announcing that he planned to transfer.
With Walker gone, only three of the top-10 commits from Auburn’s 2020 class remain on the roster.
Harsin also announced that reserve running back Jordon Ingram will be out for the remainder of the season following a meniscus injury.
“He had a lateral meniscus tear in practice, which was kind of a fluke deal,” Harsin said. “It was really on a pass-catching drill, just kind of landed on it wrong. So he had surgery, and he's out. I think it's three, four months, so obviously, that is season-ending for him.”
Auburn will be without Walker and Ingram as the Razorbacks of Arkansas come to town this Saturday inside Jordan-Hare Stadium for an 11 a.m. CST kickoff.
