In 2019, the Alabama Campus Free Speech bill was proposed and passed by the Alabama Legislature. Then-State Representative Matt Fridy’s bill was developed by Eagle Forum of Alabama, endorsed by state and national organizations, and was widely praised by many defenders of the First Amendment.
