A trial date has been set for the case involving Baldwin County Bridge Company versus Alabama Department of Transportation Director John Cooper. Both parties agreed Tuesday to schedule the trial for Aug. 12, 2024.

John Cooper still has his job while he awaits the appeal on the bridge ruling and the criminal trial for his harassment/intimidation charges. 

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of John Cooper, the director of the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).
