No. 5 Auburn baseball scored just four runs on 12 hits in three games against No. 22 Alabama this weekend at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, dropping its second consecutive conference series and falling victim to its first season sweep in the all-time series with its archrival since 2002.
Auburn controlled much of the afternoon, leading Alabama for nearly 24 minutes in Neville Arena, but the Crimson Tide’s 3-point shooting prowess was on full display down the stretch, handing Auburn a 96-92 loss – marking Alabama’s second straight win on Auburn’s home floor for the first time in more than a decade.

The Auburn Tigers will host No. 10 Alabama on Saturday in hopes of spoiling the Crimson Tide’s College Football Playoff hopes while looking to avoid their fifth-straight losing season.
