House Democrats were in an especially combative mood on Tuesday, spending hours of debate time protesting the House calendar and a proposed bill changing the voter registration software used by Alabama’s state and local election officials.  

Nine states have joined Alabama’s voter integrity database (AVID), started by Secretary of State Wes Allen to replace the controversial Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC).

A seventh state has signed a memorandum of understanding with Secretary of State Wes Allen’s office.

An illegal immigrant charged with using a fake ID to vote in Alabama elections and obtaining multiple fraudulent U.S. passports, pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court.

Secretary of State Wes Allen said recently that his office has identified over 109,000 ineligible voters from Alabama’s roles since creating a new voter integrity system.

One of the the first orders of business for Secretary of State Wes Allen when he took office last November was to get the state out of the controversial voter roll tracking system ERIC. He’s since been working to implement a better “Alabama-based” solution, one voters can be confident is free of corruption and outside control.
