After some pushback from Democratic lawmakers, the Alabama House of Representatives sent one bill addressing illegal immigration to Gov. Kay Ivey’s desk for her signature and another to the Senate to agree on changes.

On the final day of the legislative session before a one-week break, the Alabama House of Representatives advanced three of five proposed measures to bolster enforcement of illegal immigration and reduce abuse of legal immigration in the state.
