According to a report that aired on this week's broadcast of Alabama Political Reporter's "The V," former U.S. Sen. Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) will file paperwork to run for governor on the Democratic ticket for the 2026 election.

In a Republican-run state, one might be surprised to find tens of thousands of dollars flowing to progressive, left-wing media sites, but not in Alabama.

On Monday, Alabama Political Reporter's (APR) Bill Britt published a piece claiming to "Fact Check" State Rep. Matt Simpson's (R-Daphne) "Claims on Alabama Ethics Law."

During the June 3, 2018 broadcast of APR's "The V," the long-running TV show Britt co-hosts with his wife Susan, he discussed a since-recently deleted article outing McGhee with a drag queen, which at the time he apparently deemed newsworthy.

"Ultimately, the reason that the left wants to push CRT amongst little kids is simply they want to sexualize them."
