U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) joined 18 other Senate Republicans in a letter to the White House over the Biden administration’s “lack of transparency” concerning the Chinese spy balloon that the U.S. Air Force shot down off the U.S. coast earlier this year.
U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) said that he did not believe that the four unidentified flying objects shot down in North American airspace in recent days pose a serious threat to the United States.
“We have to stop being naïve about the threat we face from China. We no longer have the luxury of time. We need to act now to get ahead of this threat."
On Saturday, an F-22 U.S. Air Force fighter jet shot down a suspect Chinese spy balloon off the South Carolina coast using a single AIM-9X supersonic, heat-seeking, air-to-air missile, according to reports.
The Chinese spy balloon that has captured international attention may soon be soaring over the Yellowhammer State.
