    ALDOT project barriers harming Gulf Shores businesses; Barriers stop short to allow access to state-run ABC liquor store

    Some businesses along a section of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores are asking the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to take notice and make changes before they are forced out of business due to a long-term project that got underway in July of 2023. They say since then, sales are down and anxiety is high.
