The FBI has announced BLM activists Lillian Jayne Colburn and Mercutio Terrell Southall, both of Birmingham, are facing two federal charges of arson and conspiring to provide material support to terrorists.
According to court records, a federal grand jury has indicted Black Lives Matter (BLM) protesters Lillian Colburn and Mercutio Southall for arson after the two reportedly set fire to a shopping cart in a crowded Walmart in August.
A second suspect in the arson at a Homewood Walmart has been arrested and charged with arson and criminal mischief. According to the Homewood Police Department (HPD), Lillian Colburn and Mercutio Southall worked together to start the fire that caused over $130,000 in damages after attending a Black Lives Matter protest.

Black Lives Matter (BLM) protester Mercutio Southall had his first hearing on Wednesday morning after being charged with arson, criminal mischief, and possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Circuit Judge Kechia Davis lifted the hold under Aniah’s Law, which was a result of the arson charge and granted Southall $30,000 bond.

Mercutio Southall, a key organizer of the ongoing Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests in Homewood, has been arrested for arson and criminal mischief related to the fire at the Homewood Walmart
