ALEA: State has spent $2.5 million on Montgomery Metro Area Crime Suppression Unit

The State of Alabama has spent $2.5 million since June 2024 on the Metro Area Crime Suppression Unit in an attempt to crack down on crime in Montgomery, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

However, thanks to the new Metro Area Crime Suppression (MACS) program, Attorney General Steve Marshall said things were taking a turn for the better.
