After chastising reporters last week for not referring to her as Dr. Nicole Wadsworth in stories, her campaign issued a correction on Wednesday to a previous statement claiming she has a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.

In an action that brought swift online mockery, the campaign of Lieutenant Governor hopeful Nichole Wadsworth sent out a mass email on Tuesday to press members, demanding the use of her full academic title, “Dr. Nichole Wadsworth,” in all reporting and headlines.
