Nicole Wadsworth, a candidate for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor in the 2026 elections, responded to the media after a series of stories were recently published scrutinizing her academic credentials and detailing campaign staff departures.

After chastising reporters last week for not referring to her as Dr. Nicole Wadsworth in stories, her campaign issued a correction on Wednesday to a previous statement claiming she has a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.
