    Real Estate Appraisers Board’s ‘unconstitutional’ racial quota requirement not enforced by Ivey, attorney says

    Attorneys for Gov. Kay Ivey responded to a lawsuit filed by the Pacific Legal Foundation in February in federal court over a state law requiring two members of the Alabama Real Estate Appraisers Board (AREAB) to be racial minorities.

    Pacific Legal Foundation sues Ivey over board’s racial quotas: ‘Sadly, Alabama governors are sometimes required to discriminate’

    The Pacific Legal Foundation sued Gov. Kay Ivey last week in federal court over a requirement for two members of the Alabama Real Estate Appraisers Board to be racial minorities.
