Alabama Senate passes new version of bill addressing I-65 welcome center rocket that no longer includes changes to Memorial Preservation Act

The Alabama Senate passed a bill on Wednesday to replace or restore the Saturn 1B rocket at the Alabama Welcome Center on Interstate 65 after a previous bill also pertaining to the rocket failed to make it out of committee.

The Alabama Senate State Governmental Affairs Committee delayed a bill on Wednesday that would’ve helped replace the Saturn 1B rocket at the Alabama rest stop off of Interstate 65 while making changes to the laws governing the removal of monuments.
