Voters will soon get a chance to hear from the top candidates in three of the most-watched elections of the year.

The 2026 Republican primary runoff debate will be held on June 8 at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center. The debate will include runoff candidates for attorney general, lieutenant governor and United States senator.

Jay Mitchell and Katherine Robertson are in the runoff for attorney general. In the primary, Robertson received 40.5% of the votes to Mitchell’s 34.4%.

Wes Allen and John Wahl are in the runoff for lieutenant governor. In a crowded primary, Wahl received 40.6% of the votes to Allen’s 38%.

Jared Hudson and U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) are in the runoff for the U.S. Senate seat being left vacant by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), who is the Republican nominee for governor. In another crowded primary field, Moore received 39.1% of the vote to Hudson’s 25.6%.

“These are the races that will shape the future of our state — and you deserve to hear directly from the candidates asking for your vote,” said 1819 News CEO Bryan Dawson. “Join us as they take the stage at one of Montgomery's premier venues to make their case to the people of Alabama.”

The doors will open at 4 p.m., and the three separate debates will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets and sponsorships are available online.

The primary runoff election will be held on June 16.
