ENTERPRISE — U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) and his wife, Heather, discussed President Donald Trump's agenda, faith and teamwork in their Wednesday speech to the Republican Women of Coffee County.

Barry Moore asserted, "We're literally changing our own government by sending people who are outside the system who are willing to stand with him [President Trump]…"

"There's a movement in this country to make America first that we haven't seen in decades," he continued. "There's a movement to secure the border that we haven't seen in decades… That is why you're seeing the resistance."

Barry Moore cited his recent endorsement from the Senate Conservatives Fund, which called him a "fighting, proven conservative" and "the only candidate in this race ready to pick up right where Coach Tuberville leaves off."

He applauded conservative wins in Trump's Big Beautiful Bill and emphasized the importance of attacking the federal debt.

Barry Moore stressed, "We celebrated last month because we had a $26 billion surplus, which is the first time in two decades… But when you're saying $37 trillion, that's 37,000 billion dollars… The interest on that debt is $105,000 a second… We have to put downward pressure on that sort of thing. It didn't get this way overnight…"

Heather Moore said politics has been a "faith journey" for her and Barry Moore.

"And when I say faith, I don't mean just like go to church kind of faith," she elaborated. "I mean that down on your knees, desperate… God help us to know your will. God help us to do your will, even when it's something that we don't want to do or that we're not sure about doing…"

Heather Moore, who recently topped a poll for Congressional District 1, said she does not feel called to the race.

"I think the fact that I was polling well speaks to how well Barry and I together take care of the people that we serve," she shared. "And that not only includes people of Alabama, but it includes our own family and our own grandchildren."

Heather Moore suggested that weather modification contributed to Texas's devastating July floods and praised Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) bill to ban weather modification, a bill similar to one already signed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

She urged, "We just can't be naive anymore… It's hard to admit that people do evil things… Conspiracy theorists are becoming prophets."

Barry Moore celebrated the Christian "revival" happening in America, but warned the country faces "a spiritual battle for the future of the nation."

He observed, "When you got the Muslims and the trans fighting against our group of people, that tells you it's a spiritual battle."

Barry Moore said running for public office has always been about "walking in obedience" rather than winning, and repeated a quote from AW Tozer: "Outside the will of God, there's nothing I want. Inside the will of God, there's nothing I fear."
