Recent riots in Los Angeles are an “abject failure of leadership” in California, according to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.
Marshall told Newsmax’s "National Report" on Tuesday that the anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement riots were a result of Los Angeles being a sanctuary city.
“Look, I loved suing Joe Biden during my tenure as attorney general, and maybe I loved suing Gavin Newsom more. This is a failed effort by California. Not only in the courts, their litigation, but just in the lack of leadership. Look, we saw it through the fires that devastated millions of dollars of property and families that were displaced. We’re seeing that abject failure of leadership now. It’s what you get when you claim to be a sanctuary city in a sanctuary state, when you allow those that would push back violently against our law enforcement officials doing their job to remove those who have come to this country unlawfully. What I’m proud to be able to say is now for many years we’ve stood strong against the Biden administration’s policy where they opened the borders and they don’t know where people are to be able to stand with this president who is trying to resurrect the rule of law to allow for immigration officials to be able to do their jobs,” Marshall said.
