MONTGOMERY — The Alabama Ethics Commission found just cause on Wednesday that Decatur Mayor Tab Bowling had committed one minor violation of the Alabama Ethics Act.
The commission moved to handle the violation administratively and referred the case for review to a local district attorney. The commission didn’t discuss the reason the ethics complaint was filed.
Bowling told 1819 News on Wednesday the complaint against him was due to the use of a public facility that was closed to the public. He said the facility was a recreation center.
“I’m comfortable with the Commission’s decision,” Bowling said.
