The Alabama Republican Party (ALGOP) opened online qualifying on Tuesday for individuals seeking to serve as delegates to the Republican National Committee Midterm Convention.

President Donald Trump announced last week that the event will take place in Dallas from September 8-10.

Key qualifying deadlines are:

  • Congressional District Delegates: Qualifying opens Tuesday and closes Wednesday at 5 p.m.
  • At-Large Delegates: Qualifying opens Tuesday and closes Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

The qualifying fee is $200 and is non-refundable. Delegates elected to serve will have the fee credited toward convention-related expenses.

Voting will take place in two rounds. Members of each congressional district will vote online to elect their district delegates and alternates, followed by a statewide online vote to elect at-large delegates and alternates.

Individuals interested in serving as delegates are encouraged to review the qualifying procedures, eligibility requirements, voting timeline, and additional convention information by visiting www.algop.org.
