Shortly after Fox News called the presidential election for former President Donald Trump early Wednesday morning, Trump took to the stage at his election night venue in West Palm Beach, Fla. to formally declare victory.
With that came a slew of congratulatory messages for the president-elect from elected officials in Alabama.
U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) offered Trump a straightforward message.
Welcome back Mr. President!

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, who has faced off against the Biden administration on various issues over the previous four years, welcomed the news.
I am thrilled to see our country rediscover tonight what my fellow Alabamians never forgot—our love for the US of A and what made us great to begin with! Alabama will now have a partner, not an antagonist, back in the White House! Let’s go! 🇺🇸

Others throughout Alabama's political landscape, including Gov. Kay Ivey, also offered their congratulations.
The people have spoken! A Trump/Vance Administration is a win for every American, and I could not be more optimistic for our future. Now, let’s all come together to make America great again.
