GENEVA — In his Thursday speech to the Republican Women of Geneva County, state Republican Party chairman John Wahl reviewed November's election results, explained what Trump's victory means for Alabama, and warned against the Marxist agenda targeting children.

"Without people who care and love our country, we will lose it…" Wahl began. "Our country is at a turning point. Will we remain America?"

He quipped, "If there are any actors, musicians, politicians who are upset about his election, I will pay for their plane ticket to China, North Korea, whatever form of government they want…"

"The November general election was a referendum on Democrats and the policies of the Biden administration," declared Wahl. "But it was also a referendum on Republicans, and it asked the question: Will we deliver in Washington, D.C.? Will we actually change force and fulfill the wishes of the American public? And I think if we do…we will do well in 2026, and hopefully we can hold the presidency, not just for four more years, but 12 more years."

Wahl reviewed his work as RNC vice chair for the Southern region, which includes the swing states of North Carolina and Georgia. In Georgia alone, Alabama Republicans contacted over 100,000 voters and deployed 200 poll watchers and over 20 lawyers to help protect the vote.

Wahl said RNC polling revealed that voters were most concerned about the economy, the border and parental rights in education.

Alabama Republicans picked up 40 targeted seats across the state and trained over 200 poll watchers statewide. Although they came up short in the redrawn second congressional district, Wahl believes that if black and Hispanic communities continue trending red, Republicans will eventually flip the seat.

"The vast majority of Alabama African Americans…agree more with the Republican Party policy than they do with the Democrat Party," observed Wahl. "And the only thing keeping them from voting Republican is the stereotype that the mainstream media has created that separates us, and if we can crack that, I think we're going to see areas around the state become more winnable…"

Wahl, who has met with President-elect Donald Trump multiple times, remarked, "Trump loves Alabama… Our state really does have a special relationship with him… That's gonna be good for the state of Alabama as we move forward… We've already had conversations about making sure that we get Space Force back in Alabama."

Wahl discussed his work as chairman of the Alabama Public Library Service (APLS) and warned, "There is a concentrated effort to steal the minds of our children… Socialism always realizes he who controls children today…controls the country tomorrow… If we don't make sure that our children are actually learning what America is, what we were founded on, and who we are, it won't matter who we elect in the next 10 to 20 years: we will lose this country forever in 30 to 40 years."

Wahl praised state legislators for voting to pull state funding from libraries that refuse to follow Gov. Kay Ivey's policy to remove sexually explicit books. He said, "It may take one or two losing [funding] for the rest to shape up… It looks like Fairhope may be that example because they are out of control. They're disrespectful to parents, and the content in that library is shocking."

Wahl commended Alabama conservatives for getting involved and urged, "It's not a political battle, [but]…a battle of light and darkness… a battle for the heart and soul of people… You can't win a battle if you don't know what you're fighting."

Wahl stated, "If you fight for what's right, there's going to be opposition, and that's what makes it worthwhile… We're going to keep fighting for Alabama. We're going to keep fighting for our country, and we're going to do all we can to win it."
