A glance at Triston Harper’s schedule wouldn’t give so much as a hint that he had just been eliminated on "American Idol." He is as busy as ever, including events back home in Alabama.
The 15-year-old from McIntosh had made the Top Five in "American Idol" but was cut and will not continue in the Top Three. It is already apparent that his musical career was successfully launched by his impressive American Idol run, and it didn't take long.
Song release
Triston’s first song, "H.O.P.E," was released on Friday, May 17.
American Idol showcase
Triston will be showcased live on "American Idol" on Sunday, May 19, at 7 p.m. on ABC. He will not be part of the Final Three, who will compete in that show but will have a separate segment.
Free public concert in Alabama
Triston will perform in a public concert on Friday night, May 24, at the MOWA reservation, 1080 Red Fox Rd, Mt. Vernon, Alabama, at 6 p.m. No ticket or RSVP is needed. Bring a chair. Further information when available at Triston Harper Official Fan Club.
Parade
A parade through his hometown of McIntosh will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 11 a.m. No ticket or fee are required.
Pow Wow
A Pow Wow will be held for Triston by his Native American tribe, the MOWA band of Choctaw Indians. It will be at the MOWA reservation at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 25. The public is invited for free, but please bring a chair. A Pow Wow is a tradition of honor for a member of a Native American tribe. 1080 W. Red Fox Road, Mount Vernon, Alabama.
