A group called UA Leftists, also formerly known as the University of Alabama Youth Democratic Socialists of America, is planning a protest for Matt Walsh’s appearance in Tuscaloosa on Thursday.

Walsh's “What is a Woman?” tour event is slated for 8 p.m. at the University of Alabama's Math and Science Building and has drawn the group's ire.

"Take a stand against transphobia and harmful ideologies with us!" UA Leftist's website proclaimed. "Various campus organizations will gather to make a stand against the transphobic speech that will be taking place on UA's campus. We encourage you to bring a poster and bring a friend as we make our voices heard."

According to the UA Leftists' Twitter, it is "an anticapitalist, antiracist, and feminist organization at The University of Alabama."

The event is sponsored by the University of Alabama's Young Americans for Freedom chapter.

After a screening of Walsh's "What is a Woman?" film, he will give brief remarks and participate in a Q&A discussion with audience members.

The event will be live-streamed here:
