On Tuesday, Auburn basketball squared off in a neutral site matchup with No. 20 Baylor in South Dakota, losing 88-82.
Auburn head basketball coach Bruce Pearl, a vocal supporter of Israel given his Jewish heritage, was seen sporting a pin with crossed USA and Israeli flags on his shirt during the game. The show of support from Pearl and staff comes amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

As outspoken on the situation in Israel as Pearl is, I'd expect to see these worn throughout the majority of the season. pic.twitter.com/o6QgVSRlrQ
In 2022, Pearl took his squad to Israel to not only tour the Holy Land but also play exhibition games against some of the top teams in Israel. While there, some Auburn players were baptized in the Jordan River.
Before the game, Pearl and the Baylor basketball staff joined together in prayer for the people of Israel.
Awesome to pray with the basketball staff at Baylor after our shoot around. We thanked God for the blessings, but asked His eyes and His heart be with the people of Israel. pic.twitter.com/s5nCRmb7Hn
